From the Garden of Sicily, at a short distance, one can reach the small town of Sant'Agata Militello. It is on the northern coast of Sicily between Nebrodi Park and the Tyrrhenian Sea and not submerged by the flow of mass tourism. It is an ideal place for the tourist who is looking for peace and calm.
It is an ideal point of departure for any type of excursion: by train or bus one can reach numerous places of great interest such as Cefalù, Palermo, Messina or Santo Stefano of Camastra famous for its pottery. How about a charming trip to the Aeolian Islands?
The area is characterised by all sorts of beaches and the sea invites bathing from May to October. Small towns of the hinterland and the hidden treasures of Nebrodi are waiting to be discovered.
Do you love the mountains and day trips? One of the many entrances to Nebrodi Park is just 4 km from the Garden of Sicily. One forgets we are so far south of Europe due to the landscape being similar to the Dolomites however the never ending sea-view reminds us of our location!
During the year the town of Sant'Agata and other villages offer cultural initiatives and entertainment. There is a vast choice and we are happy to advise our guests on what to do and see so they can enjoy their stay at the Garden of Sicily.
